How to Join?
1 Evaluate the amount of coffee grounds produced in your cafe / office every day.
2 Evaluate space in your cafe/ office available for coffee ground storage.
3 Fill in the online form to submit application.
- The collected coffee grounds will be fermented into fertilizer which will be donated or sold to farms, schools and households for agricultural use.
- Only fresh coffee grounds produced that day will be used to make coffee grounds soap. We can customize the soap shape for you by using your company logo or any shape desired. Contact email@example.com for any inquiries.

The porous structure of coffee grounds resembles that of activated carbon, giving it a dehumidifying property. It can be done simply by placing air dried and bottled coffee grounds in cabinets and closets.
Alkaloid in coffee grounds can be used as a natural pesticide. Caffeine is extracted by simmering fine, dry coffee grounds. Filtered coffee liquid can then be transferred into a spray bottle after cooling down. Spraying onto your plants every 2-3 days can keep bugs away!

Previous Participating Organizations
Every week, Zero Grounds Coffee Campaign has a mission to recycle coffee grounds for the participating corporate. Most of the recycled grounds will be fermented to compost. Fermented coffee grounds is high quality nitrogen fertilizer suitable for agricultural use, especially for plants rich in leaves.
To contribute to the community and support local agricultural industry, we will, from time to time, organize coffee grounds compost donation activity. Interested organizations or the general public can register for pick-up by filling in the form below. We will contact you for delivery arrangement as soon as possible.

Donation to Research Team
5% of the campaign profit is donated to the academic research team of Dr. Carol Lin from the School of Energy and Environment in the City University of Hong Kong, supporting the research work on the valorization of food waste for sustainable production of chemicals and materials. This is crucial to the development of food waste recycling technology.

Part of the campaign profit supports the development and production of Coffee NEXT, our brand of coffee grounds upcycling products. The product sales profit then returns to support the operation cost of campaign recycling service.

Compost Donation to Local Farms
Most of the coffee grounds recycled is fermented to compost at King Fai Farm in Nam Sang Wai. Some compost is packaged as Coffee NEXT product for sale; whereas the rest is donated to local farms and individual farms to support the local agricultural industry.
